On June 30th 2024, the product-level statistics from Product Set/Filter pages, Analyze Product Data Panel, and Visibility Dashboards will be moved to the Product Insights tool, which now contains all important features for your product-level analysis.
If you HAVE accessed the upgraded ROI Hunter already, no action is required on your part.
If you have NOT accessed the upgraded ROI Hunter, you can start the free upgrade process from this this link and proceed through the upgrade by clicking on the Continue button.
Q: Why are features being discontinued, and what are the benefits of the new solution?
Q: Why are features being discontinued, and what are the benefits of the new solution?
A: ROI Hunter did not have one single source of truth for product-level data. There were three legacy sources of product data, which may differ in attribution or calculation techniques:
Non-feed statistics in Product Set/Product Group pages gave you visibility into the product variant performance not provided by Meta/Google and utilized the insights in dynamic product filters
The Analyze Product tool in Campaign Insights connected Campaigns and Product data, but only on the product group-level since the product catalog data, campaign data, and their tracking are not entirely compatible across different variant levels.
Visibility Dashboard, as a report in Data Studio, provided even deeper analysis of the Product-level performance. It was largely organized around Meta only and served as external source of data.
All functions of these three tools are now supported in the new Product Insights in the upgraded ROI Hunter, an actively developed part of the platform regularly enjoying new features and updates. The benefits of this solution include:
Unified attribution for each metric, data calculation, and source (Markets and Assets)
Unified integration in Markets and Assets, leaving no need to connect data outside of the Markets and Assets menu
Channel-agnostic data sourcing across different channels and other sources (not limited to Meta)
Customizable product segments storable in Segments Dashboard to analyze their historical performance or include/exclude them from campaigns
Improved data health monitoring systems to ensure good data quality
New filtration systems, product data tables, and charts
Export feature for downloading Product Data
“Group by” feature that allows you to analyze performance of your categories, product types or product sets
Calculated and custom metrics (available on request)
And much more!
Q: How are segments created in Product Insights different from product sets or product groups?
Q: How are segments created in Product Insights different from product sets or product groups?
A: Segments are subsets of products similar to product sets/groups. But unlike a product set bound to Meta or a product group bound to Google, a segment is a channel-agnostic subset of products, enabling you to analyze and filter by product performance across channels.
Segments can be then included or excluded from any product set/group to actively manage the performance of campaigns connected to them. Subsequently, the performance of segments can be compared across channels using Segments Dashboard to draw insights.
For example, perhaps you'd like to effectively confirm that pushing Bestsellers on Meta has also an impact on the same segment on Google:
Q: Do I need to transfer the original product sets to segments in the new Product Insights or will they still work using the previous setup?
Q: Do I need to transfer the original product sets to segments in the new Product Insights or will they still work using the previous setup?
A: You do not need to transfer. As of June 30th 2024, only statistics are being removed. The ability to work with GA, Google ads, and Meta ads filters remains, so there's no need to transfer all existing filters to segments.
You can still see an overview of all your Product Sets in the Product Set menu, and edit them freely:
Q: How can I analyze the performance of product sets once the statistics are removed?
Q: How can I analyze the performance of product sets once the statistics are removed?
A: If you are interested in a brief analysis of your existing product sets/groups, you can visit Product Insights and use the "Group by" tool for a quick overview of all your existing Product Sets or Product Groups alongside a wide range of metrics.

Q: I need more than 10 Segments in the new Product Insights to analyze all my strategies. How can I add more?
Q: I need more than 10 Segments in the new Product Insights to analyze all my strategies. How can I add more?
A: It is possible to add more segments. Please contact your ROIH CSM for more information.
Q: The new Product Insights filters do not include the "OR" relation. Are there plans to add this functionality? What is the recommended procedure to address this issue?
Q: The new Product Insights filters do not include the "OR" relation. Are there plans to add this functionality? What is the recommended procedure to address this issue?
A: The addition of the "OR" operator in Product Insights is being investigated for future release.
By default, all filters use the "AND" relation in the new Product Insights, meaning all filter conditions must be satisfied for a product to qualify.
However, if your product set/group needs to include or exclude a group of products that qualify for at least one filter in two or more different filter conditions, you need to create a segment for each condition.
You can then put these two segments in the "OR" relation when creating the product set/group, or compare their performance using Segments Dashboard.
Consider the following example of converting a setup for Product Sets/Groups to a setup for Product Insights and Segments Dashboard:
