Manage all your catalogs with Catalog Manager

Apply image template, connect data sources, solve issues - everything in one place.

Updated over 2 years ago

The Catalog Manager (Settings → Meta Settings → Catalog Manager) allows you to manage the product feeds and catalogues that are connected to ROI Hunter. To add more catalogues to ROI Hunter, you must link them to one of your markets first.

To do this, follow these 3 steps:

  1. Go to the Market and Assets page and select the appropriate market from your existing list of markets, or create a new one.

  2. Under the Advertising Assets tab, you can link your Meta Ad accounts and Catalogues.

  3. Choose the catalogue that you want to link, along with the Ad account that will be used with this Catalogue.

Disclaimer: Please note that in order to link a catalogue to ROI Hunter, you must have access to it in your Business Manager. Additionally, the catalogue must already be linked to one of your markets.

Data sources

In the Data sources section, you can manage your source feed, connect Google Analytics or Google Ads (for Google Shopping data) profile and connect Additional Product Data Sources (Additional feeds).

Feed Mapping

You may easily add new optional tags or remove the current ones.
Check if the required Facebook tags are associated with the correct columns from your feed. If not, map it correctly by selecting the right associated tag.

Example: I made a mistake and named the column in my feed as "value" instead of "price". Facebook won't recognize it and an error will be displayed. I click the white box next to the "price" tag and select the "value". Facebook will pair it with "price" and catalog and will work correctly.

Customize the Feed in Catalog

Catalog manager gives you several functions for editing your product feed. They are located in the Mapping section and affect only the selected column of your feed.

With these functions, you can change the text case, find and replace values, remove HTML tags or replace values from your feed with another value.

Fixing Catalogs directly in Catalog Manager

Sometimes feeds that are used for creating Catalogs are having issues. These issues can be connected to feed format, mistakes in script, capital letters etc. ROI Hunter platform offers you a great feature to fix such problems directly in Catalog Manager under Data Management. If the feed has any problems, the "Fix It button" will appear which will allow you to fix issues.
In our example, our feed is lacking a unified brand name for all products as all products in the field have their own specified brand mentioned in the name field:

You can select a tag that represents a brand name or select to fill in a static Brand name. If you select a static value you need to type that static value and save the changes:

Template management

In this part, you will be managing your image and slideshow templates.

You can transform your product catalog into 2 different modes: Templates or Slideshow.

In Dynamic templates mode you will be able to apply one or more dynamic image templates and choose one of them as an image source when you will be creating/editing an ad. For more info read the Additional templates article.

In Slideshow mode, you will be able to create a series of follow-up images in our slideshow editor and use them as slides in your ad. For more info read an article about Dynamic slideshow ads.

Template editor

  • Edit the size of the product image

  • Choose from many fonts and shapes

  • Use previously created templates

We would love to point to our dynamic text features. Simply click any tag button and we can display the unique price/name/brand from the feed to all products.

These are just some of the Image Editor´s amazing functions. Learn more about it here.

🙀 Beware - Changing the Template 🙀

When you change or edit the template in Catalog Manager, it will affect all ads using that template (yes, it will also change the visual of running ads)

So, if you want to create a new template and do not change your campaigns, you might want to duplicate the catalog.

Diagnostics

In this section, you can see the history of uploads of your feeds to ROI Hunter and information about errors.

Catalog Settings

In settings, you can see information about Meta business, change the catalog name, see connected campaigns, and manage Event sources and users connected to the Catalog.
