How to Check and Change Meta Catalog Feed Upload Type to "Replace"

Updated over 8 months ago

If you're using Meta (Facebook) catalogs with ROI Hunter, it's essential that your product feed is set to “Replace” rather than “Update” so your catalog can use all ROI Hunter features. Without this setup, we won't be able to apply new product sets and templates to your catalog.

Here’s how to check and adjust the feed schedule type in Meta Commerce Manager:

Step 1: Open Your Meta Catalog

  1. Select the correct catalog used in ROI Hunter.

Step 2: Find Your Feed Settings

  1. In the left-hand menu, click on “Data Sources” > “Data Feeds”.

  2. Select the feed you're using (usually named something like products.csv, feed.xml, etc.)

  3. Go to the Settings section

Step 3: Check the Schedules

In the feed settings, look for the Schedules:

  • If it says “Update Schedule”, this means the feed only adds or changes specific products.

  • ROI Hunter needs “Replace Schedule” set only, which reloads the full product set each time and ensures consistency.

Step 4: Change to Replace Schedule

In the Schedules section, modify the schedule so it contains the Replace Schedule only.
