Meta ODAX Objectives

New set of objectives in ROI Hunter Meta Campaign Creator

Updated over 2 years ago

As the ads ecosystem has become increasingly fragmented, difficult to use, and complex. Advertiser confusion around Objectives has been a noted pain point. Advertisers do not understand which Objectives to select to achieve their desired outcome during campaign setup and creation.

In order to effectively guide advertisers to optimal campaign setups, Meta is redesigning the objective selection experience when creating new campaigns in Ads Manager and launching a NEW set of campaign objectives - called ODAX objectives.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU?

We have consolidated the six currently available objectives in the ROI Hunter platform into 3, focusing on marketing outcomes:

  1. Traffic

  2. App Promotion

  3. Sales

1. TRAFFIC OBJECTIVE

The purpose of the Traffic objective stays the same. This objective can help you drive traffic where you need it. For example, when you announce a flash sale in the store.

2. APP PROMOTION OBJECTIVE

The purpose of this objective is the same as previous App Installs

Motivate people with a mobile device to install or take action on your app.

3. SALES OBJECTIVE

This objective is a combination of previous Conversions and Catalogue Sales objectives.

Choose the Sales objective to reach people who are most likely to buy from your online store.

If you CHOOSE your campaign under this new objective as "Dynamic Ad," it will act as the previous non-ODAX Product Catalogue Sales objective.

If you DO NOT choose the Dynamic Ad option, the campaign will act as the previous non-ODAX Conversions objective.

TECHNICAL LIMITATION

Meta moved optimization for the "Lead" and "Add to Wishlist" events to Lead and Engagement ODAX objectives, which ROI Hunter Campaign Creator does not support.

If you wish to optimize your campaigns to these events, please proceed to the Ads Manager and create a campaign under these two ODAX objectives.

EXISTING CAMPAIGNS AND CAMPAIGN EDIT

ROI Hunter keeps non-ODAX campaign objectives for your existing campaigns and in the campaign edit flow. This applies to operations like:

  • adding additional ad sets and ads to existing non-ODAX campaigns

  • editing of targeting, budget, creatives, etc., in non-ODAX campaigns

  • Create similar for non-ODAX campaigns

  • Load drafts of saved non-ODAX campaigns
