Easier connection of GA4 / Universal Analytics to Campaign Insights

Connect your Google Analytics 4 or Universal Analytics to the market in order to access the revenue data of your campaigns in ROI Hunter.

Updated over 2 years ago

If you are not using the direct connection between Google Analytics (GA) and Campaign Insights, ROI Hunter now offers the option to automatically display revenue data from GA views straight in the Campaign Insights report.

In order to access this data, you must have both your ad account and Google Analytics connected to the same market.

To set this up, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the desired Google Analytics 4 property or Universal Analytics view to your market on the Markets & Assets page.

Note: The selected country filters from the GA4 property will not be considered in Campaign Insights, and the revenue displayed will show the total revenue for the campaign.

  2. Connect the ad account, on which you want to view revenue, to the same market, along with all catalogs used for running dynamic ads (or static ads, if you are not running Dynamic Product Ads on this account).

Note: If you are using this ad account to run ads that do not require a product catalog, please select the checkbox "This account will be used only for static ads".

Once your ad account and Google Analytics are connected to the same market, you can access Campaign Insights to view the Google Analytics 4 data column. To see this column, click on "Customize View".

Please note that in order to see accurate revenue data for your campaigns, ad tracking must be set up correctly. Instructions for setting up ad tracking can be found in our support documentation, and the same instructions apply to both Google Analytics 4 and Universal Analytics.

If you require assistance with this setup or need a check to ensure that the setup is correct, please reach out to our support team.

Happy Hunting!
