Set up a bidding strategy for your campaign

Conversion event

  • "Conversion event" must be selected when creating a campaign for conversions

  • You tell Meta to optimize ad for this specific action
    (e.g. Purchase, Add to Cart, Add to Wishlist)

  • Note that each event is associated with a specific pixel

  • The green/red dot next to each event indicates if the pixel had any activity during the last 7 days

Bid Type

  • Select your bidding strategy

  • Different bid types are associated with different campaign objectives


Bid Strategy - Lowest cost (Automatic bidding) or Target cost?

Lowest cost-Automatic 

  • Meta adjusts your bid for you on an auction-by-auction base 

  • The aim is to spend your entire budget and get the most of the results

Target cost-Manual

  • Set a maximum amount you’re willing to pay 


Delivery type

  • Standard - show ads evenly throughout the day 

  • Accelerated - start showing your ads as quickly as possible
