Intro
Match rate measures how effectively your product performance data is paired with your product inventory. It is calculated as a percentage from all data downloaded (spend, revenue, other metrics, etc) that was able to be paired with products.
Higher match rate: Indicates that more of your product data is available for analysis, enabling accurate insights and informed decision-making.
Lower match rate: Indicates possible data loss, potentially leading to inaccurate product performance assessments.
Match rate can be viewed by browsing to Settings > Markets and Assets > select a market > Inventory tab:
Quick Troubleshooting
Check which feed is used for your inventory (in the Inventory Source Feed panel)
Check whether this is the feed that contains all your products
Check whether the pairing is done with the correct IDs (at Inventory Setup)
Common Problems
The match rate of advertising assets (Google Shopping and Meta) is good, but the match rate of analytics assets is low.
This usually means that the feed used for your inventory includes all products used for online advertising, but not all products on the web that receive revenue.
If you are able to provide ROIH with a feed that includes all products, we can identify all opportunities and provide a comprehensive overview of all performance.
The match rate of some advertising channels is low.
This can mean that either you don't have all products in your inventory feed, or that there is an issue with the pairing.
Check whether the feed used as the inventory is the best feed that should include most of your products.
If so, then check whether the SKUs used in that channel match the field used for pairing in the feed.
Check whether you have a correct setup of the channel, and that product IDs are in the same format for all products.
Improvement Recommendations
If you see a recent drop in the match rate, or want to maintain good data health, first start by checking your inventory feed.
If you see an error on the inventory feed, it means that we could not update your product inventory and pair the data which could be the reason of the match rate drop.
Confirm that your feed is up and running, includes all your products, and that there haven't been any changes lately.
Any recent change such as changing the IDs in the Meta Catalog may leave the data unable to be paired anymore.
If you are not aware of any recent change, please contact ROIH support for help improving your match rate.
