AI Creative Studio is a space to create entirely new product creative with AI — independent of any template or ad. Configure an enhancement, choose a catalog and product set, and let AI generate images for every product in that scope: the kind of rich, varied creative that used to need a designer or a photo studio.
AI Creative Studio covers two enhancements:
Background Generation — creates a brand-new background behind your product. Describe the scene in text, or upload a reference image.
Virtual Photoshoot — places your product in a lifestyle context (an environment, scene, or model), using a text description and/or reference images.
AI Creative Studio is currently available to a limited group of clients. Want to start experimenting? Look for the banner in your AI Enhancements section to request access.
How to use it
Step 1: Select a catalog and product set, then configure your enhancement
Go to Creative Factory > AI Enhancements, then open AI Creative Studio.
Choose the catalog and product set you want to work with.
Select Background Generation or Virtual Photoshoot.
Configure it:
Background Generation: describe the scene in text, or upload a reference image.
Virtual Photoshoot: describe the environment/context in text, and/or upload a reference image.
Generate a preview to see how it looks on your own products. Previews are always free, and you can generate as many as you need, in batches of 1, 5, or 10 images.
Step 2: Launch generation at scale
Once you're happy with the result, click Use for Generation.
You'll see a Cost overview with the estimated maximum credit cost and your current credit balance.
Confirm to start generation in the background for the full product set.
Step 3: Review generated images
Once generation is complete, images enter a review queue. For AI Creative Studio, manual review is always required — you approve or reject each image before it can be used in a template.
Step 4: Use your images in templates
Approved images automatically become available in the Image and Video Template Editor, under the AI tab > Reuse existing. You can use them in any template without further setup.
Good to know
Credits: Background Generation costs 2 credits per image; Virtual Photoshoot costs 5 credits per image. As with Background Removal, credits are shared across all AI enhancements, and you’re never charged twice for the same image.
Reusing a setup: instead of configuring an enhancement from scratch, you can use “Reuse this configuration” to load an existing setup (aspect ratio, prompt, etc.) and adjust it, or “Add Product Set” from the AI Enhancements page to extend an existing enhancement to a new catalog and product set.
Getting started with prompts, or fine-tuning results, can take some trial and error — your CSM or the Solutions team can help you set this up.

Do previews cost credits?
No, previews are always free, no matter how many you generate.
Are rejected images still charged?
Credits are used when images are generated, not just when they’re approved — that’s why we recommend testing thoroughly with free previews first.
What’s the difference between Background Generation and Virtual Photoshoot?
Background Generation replaces just the background behind your product. Virtual Photoshoot places your product into a full lifestyle scene (with an environment, setting, or model).
Can I expand an enhancement to a new catalog or product set later?
Yes, use “Add Product Set” on the AI Enhancements page, or “Reuse this configuration” in AI Creative Studio.
