GA4 Integration - How to set up and what it means for me?

Step-by-step guide for your GA4 Integration.

Updated over 3 years ago

This is an update for October 2022.

The huge GA4 Migration is near, and we in ROI HUNTER are preparing to make the transition as smooth as possible for you.

How does it work?

Once your GA4 Integration is added to ROI Hunter, the new data will influence (as of now), just two parts of our platform - Segments and Analyze Panel, which is available in your Campaign Insights.

Product Insights, Campaign Insights, and the other tools you use regularly are still based on data from the previous iteration of Google Analytics.

This means that today is the ideal time to research your new GA4 data and experiment with how you can use it to analyze your Product-level data and Product Segments.

How to set up the solution?

The self-service setup for GA4 is available to everyone with the Markets and Assets tab available in their Settings.

Step-by-step guide:

1. Find Settings in the Menu

2. Click on the Markets and Assets tab

3. Choose Market

4. Scroll to the 3rd section - Analytical Assets

5. Find Google Analytics 4 and click the CONNECT button.

6. You should now see a screen informing you that change will only influence Segments and Analyze Panel

7. Log in to GA4

8. YOU ARE ALL SET!

For users who do not have the Markets and Assets tab available please contact Support or your CSM for integration help.

What will happen after the connection?

In order to ensure a smooth transition, we are not deleting any old data. You will not experience any data outage due to the transition.

The GA4 data will be used in the Segments and Analyze Panel starting from the next day at 00:00 after the connection.

Additional technicalities.

We are not currently supporting any of the new Attribution models offered by GA4. We are still using the same Last Click Attribution model that was part of the previous GA connection.

For any additional questions contact your CSM or our Support team.

Thank you!
